This is Ford’s range-topping F-250 trim, and its sale is recently made official by the automaker. Sporting an aluminium-intensive chassis, the 2017 F-250 Platinum has lost a considerable amount of weight to improve its on-road performance and EPA. Ford did not bring about any stark design changes in its 2017 Ford F-250 Platinum. Also, the pickup has retained its two-bar front grille structure along with box-mesh design. Headlights continue its square-shaped look along with LED fittings. Taillight and rear gate design are kept intact by Ford. However, the pickup’s nose may have dipped a bit to enhance visibility and impart a smoother look.

Ford has released its F-250 Platinum 2017 with two engine options:

  • The first is a 16-valve 6.2-liter V8. This unit will be capable of delivering around 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque.
  • The bigger unit is a turbocharged 32-valve 6.7-liter V8 diesel engine. Output power rating for this unit is around 440 hp, and torque output is around 925 lb-ft.
