Ford calls 2017 F-450 the toughest, smartest, most capable Super Duty ever. Frame uses over 95% high strength steel, but military-grade aluminium alloy makes this model the lightest yet. Ford claims that over 300 pounds lost on the weight will result in even more power! Even though full engine specifications are still not available, Ford promises significant improvements over previous models. The 2017 Ford F-450 will be available in XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum trims with both dual and single rear-wheel setups.

Exterior of 2017 Ford F-450 brings a couple of changes. Rails are now 1.5 inch taller at the narrowest point, making this truck 24 times stiffer. Both fifth wheel and towing hitches are integrated into the frame. Apart from the new look, biggest difference is aluminium body, which managed to make this model 350 pounds lighter than 2016 Super Duty trucks. High strength steel frame gives this ford f 450 even more towing and hauling capacity. Body went through most design changes, but the bed now features Ford BoxLink system of brackets and cleats to secure your cargo remotely with the tailgate on your key fob.
The Ford F450 truck offers you larger cabin with front row seating as either dual buckets or a split bench with storage. Second row seats can be converted to reveal full flat load floor with clever crew cab storage system. Leather front seats even have massage available, panoramic sunroof and technology that will make your drives easier and safer. There are 16 new tech features, most notable one being a 360-degree camera system. You can even mount a lens to the rear of a trailer, making sure you always have complete visibility of your truck. There is also a possibility of adaptive steering which makes hauling heavy loads or navigating confined spaces much easier. The 2017 Ford F-450 also features Fords latest SYNC 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, that will soon support Apples CarPlay and Google Androids Auto interfaces.
2017 Ford F-450 – Entirely new Powertrain Configuration
Although we still cant talk about specific power and performance figures, Ford says engine of 2017 Ford F-450 will remain similar to its 2016 previous model with a 6.2-liter gas V8, 6.8-liter gas V10 and 6.7-liter turbodiesel V8 all of which will be improved and upgraded. Specific numbers for these new trucks still havent been shared, but in 2016 Super Duty 6.7-liter Power Stroke produced 440 horsepower and 860 lb.-ft. of torque. Towing hitches integrated directly into the new open-C-channel designed frame, give this truck more towing power. Numbers are not available at this moment, but 2017 Ford F-450 assures us it will be most power in a truck ever seen. Current 2016 F-450 claims towing capacity of 31,200 pounds, so we can only expect more from 2017 model.
2017 Ford F-450 – Release Date and How Much will Cost
Currently in testing phases,the 2017 Ford F-450 will go in production in September of 2016 at Fords Kentucky plant. Predicted price and release date are still not available, but more information will be discovered after Ford Super Duty Tour. All we can say for certain is that this f450 truck will be the strongest and most advanced pick-up truck yet.
